*HEYFORD PARK FREE SCHOOL PASSES FIRST ASSESSMENT STAGE*

NEWS UPDATE 24/04/2012: The Heyfordian School Trust is proud to announce we have been invited to attend an interview at the Department for Education to discuss our plans for the Heyford Park Free School in depth. This means we have successfully made it through the first assessment phase and, whilst this does not guarantee we will get the ultimate approval we need to open, it is very significant progress that means we are one step closer to seeing all our hard work come to fruition. We would like to send out a massive thank you  to everyone who has shown their support this far. We truly believe our success thus far is due to the overwhelming number of parents who have registered their children at the school and we will continue to work with parents to keep them informed of developments.

Nathan Jones, Governor for The Heyfordian School Trust, said: “We’re delighted to be invited to interview, and while it doesn’t guarantee the Free School will be approved, it’s an important milestone for us."

“We’d like to say thank you to everyone who has continued to offer us support and encouragement for the school - it’s been their hard work and engagement that has helped us put together such a strong proposal. We’re confident our plans are robust and that we will be able to effectively demonstrate what this school could offer during the interview.”

We will be emailing/writing to all registered parents individually to personally inform them of this development, and please all keep checking this website and the blog (heyfordparkfreeschool-theblog.blogspot.co.uk) for additional information as well.
